Fundamental

        The plate evaporator is a new type of high-efficiency evaporator made up of a series of corrugated metal plates. Thin rectangular channels are formed between the plates. The plates are provided with openings. The openings form fluid flow channels. Heat is transferred between the high-temperature medium and the low-temperature medium through the thin plates. The number of plates determines the total heat transfer area. The plate is assembled between a fixed plate and a compression plate, and is compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are equipped with sealing gaskets, which seal the channels between the plates and guide the fluid to alternately flow into the respective channels. The corrugations of the plates cause fluid turbulence to improve heat transfer efficiency and form many supporting points, which are sufficient to withstand the pressure difference between the media. The fluid flow rate, physical properties, pressure drop and temperature difference determine the number and size of the plates. Plate heat exchanger is an ideal equipment for vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid heat exchange. The plate heat exchanger is shown in the figure below.

 1、High heat transfer efficiency.


The special corrugated plate type designed by Jiangsu Heide can produce high-intensity turbulence. Compared with the traditional shell-and-tube evaporator, its heat transfer coefficient has been greatly improved. At the same time, the hot and cold fluid can also flow uniformly across the entire plate, without heat exchange dead zone, and can obtain a good evaporation effect. Under the same pressure loss, its heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger. The Heide plate evaporator is particularly effective at high concentration and high viscosity, and can work when the temperature difference is only 3-5°C.

 

 2、Low heat loss, low energy consumption and low operating cost.


Due to the high heat transfer coefficient, the plate evaporator can work when the temperature difference between the end faces is 3-5. Due to its compact structure and small size, the outer surface area of the evaporator is also small, so the heat loss is also very small. Generally, the plate evaporator does not need to be insulated. When used in multi-effect evaporation, it can effectively use the temperature difference of each effect and reduce the power of the vacuum pump group. When used in MVR system integration, it can save compressor power and reduce energy consumption input.

 

 3、It is not easy to scale and block, easy to maintain, and has a self-cleaning function.

 

It can control the flow rate of the material between the plates, so that the material will form a three-dimensional spiral flow between the specially designed corrugated plates of Heide at a very low flow rate, that is, it can achieve a strong turbulent state. The fluid flows in turbulent flow on the corrugated channel, which not only reduces fouling, but also makes chemical cleaning more effective. Compared with the shell-and-tube type, the hold-up volume is small and only a small amount of cleaning agent is needed. The flexible design of the Heide plate evaporator means that the heat conduction surface is easy to check and easy to clean mechanically. Just remove the clamping bolts and loosen the pressure plate.

 

 4、Small footprint and easy expansion.


The detachable plate evaporator developed by Heide, its biggest feature is that the heat transfer element plates can be detached and combined. When increasing or reducing the evaporation area, it is only necessary to loosen the clamping bolts and add or remove the plate pack on the existing frame. This is a major advantage compared to shell-and-tube evaporators, whose production capacity is fixed at the time of installation.

 

 5、Safe and reliable to use, high product quality


On the sealing equipment between the plates, Heide specially designed two seals, and at the same time, it is also equipped with signal holes. Once leakage occurs, it can be excluded from the evaporator, which not only prevents steam and material from mixing, but also To the role of security alarm. In addition, the very low hold-up means that at any given time, almost no product remains in the concentration evaporator, the heating time is short, and the start-up is fast. It is especially suitable for heat-sensitive products, and the product quality can be effectively guaranteed.
